George Bush’s Amnesty

June 26th, 2007

“You know, I’ve heard all the rhetoric — you’ve heard it, too — about how this is amnesty. Amnesty means that you’ve got to pay a price for having been here illegally, and this bill does that.” ~~~ George W. Bush

Our President made these remarks this morning (Tuesday, June 26), just before his amnesty-for-illegal-aliens legislation went to a cloture vote in the Senate. Did he mean pay the price, as in punishment for unlawful behavior? No.

He meant that he is planning to sell United States citizenship to lawbreakers for $5000 per head.
